Senior Market Research Manager (IT)
- Lead and mentor a team of market intelligence/research analysts, providing guidance and support in conducting in-depth research and analysis of the IT market within the US federal and state government sector
- Develop and execute comprehensive research strategies to assess market trends, competitor landscapes, customer preferences, project opportunities and procurement plan
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define research objectives, deliverables, and timelines, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
- Oversee the preparation of detailed reports, presentations based on market research findings, emphasizing strategic recommendations and actionable insights
- Drive the development and implementation of targeted marketing strategies and campaigns informed by market intelligence
- Stay current with industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies relevant to the Government IT market landscape
- Lead the end-to-end proposal development process, from initial RFI - RFP analysis and strategy formulation to final proposal submission
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with key industry contacts, government stakeholders, and clients to enhance market insights and business partnerships
- Collaborate closely with business development, sales, and technical teams to understand client requirements and develop winning strategies for opportunities
- The ideal candidate will have had hands-on experience performing primary and secondary research on government and industry trends and market participants, an entrepreneurial approach to generating and creating value and impact, an appreciation for a nonprofit/public interest environment, and strong managerial/leadership skills
- Primarily interacts with the sales organization and other internal groups (such as Global Business Units, Marketing, etc.); may also interact with external partners/customers to develop and facilitate ongoing business and business relationships
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Economics, or related field; Master's degree preferred
- 10+ years of progressive experience as a Market Research Analyst, Business Development with significant exposure to the US federal/state government sector
- Proven track record in team management and leadership, demonstrating the ability to motivate, coach, and develop/manage high-performing teams
- Ability to effectively gather, analyze, synthesize, and present quantitative and qualitative information
- Familiarity with the US Federal and State agencies and its procurement process is a plus
- Strong expertise in procurement processes, contracting mechanisms, and government policies
- Advanced proficiency in research methodologies, data analysis tools
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills with a meticulous attention to detail
