Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Documentation Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in creating precise technical documentation that effectively communicates complex concepts and nuances to a diverse audience. The Technical Documentation Specialist will collaborate closely with teams to ensure our technical documentation meets industry standards and enhances user experience. As a Technical Documentation specialist, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining endearing technical documents,content strategy,by collaborating with stakeholders within the organisation.

Responsibilities (Your Impact):

  • A comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience of document development life cycle (DDLC) and software document
    development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Develop and maintain various technical documents: user guides, product manuals, troubleshooting manuals, installation guides, quick start guides, presentations, videos, product tutorials, and more in collaboration with Software Developers,Subject matter experts, Project Leads and Project Managers to ensure accurate technical details
  • Craft compelling narratives about PanApps product suite across formats such as documents, presentations, and more
  • Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and subject matter experts to ensure accurate technical details
  • Create feature announcements, deployment walkthroughs, product guides, and technical specifications (among other things)
  • A firm hold on English grammar and other basic linguistic devices
  • Translate technical information into easily understandable content for various user groups
  • Disseminate technical information in easy-to-understand language for a non-technical audience
  • Review and edit documentation meticulously to ensure clarity and accuracy
  • Work with product/project team to stay updated with new features/modules and follow-up on technical documentation
  • Own and manage technical documentation umbrella of assets along with Stakeholders
  • Own tech documentation of standards, processes and decisions in a forum (for example Owncloud, and/or GDrive) that improves awareness, collaboration and understanding across the team and the company
  • Regularly update the documentation to reflect product/project module changes, enhancements, and new features, ensuring accuracy and relevance in documenting and publishing the release notes/changelog of the product/project modules
  • Establish and maintain documentation style guidelines to ensure consistency across all product/module-related materials.
  • Contribute to the development of templates and documentation standards to enhance the overall quality and usability of content.
  • Actively seek feedback from users and internal stakeholders to continuously improve documentation quality and address user pain points.
  • Iterate documentation based on user feedback and evolving product features.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Software Developers, SMEs and project managers, to gather information and ensure accurate representation of technical concepts.
  • Participate in project team meetings and provide input on documentation requirements.
  • Own the documentation property ensuring that it is aesthetically pleasing and engaging, provides excellent experiences for key personas, is accurate and current, is easy to find and navigate, and incorporates SEO best practices.
  • Continuously update existing documentation to reflect changes.
  • Lead documentation initiatives and drive guidelines and best practices for the technical writing function.
  • Hands on experience with tools like Chat GPT, Adobe Technical Suite; Adobe Framemaker, Adobe Robosoft, will fetch brownie points.
  • A strong, convincing portfolio of previous projects; including impact data pointers will be an added advantage.
Job Requirements
